1. Finalist Selection
Once an entry has been submitted, it is reviewed by the Organiser to confirm that the entrant meets the relevant eligibility requirements and award criteria.
The Organiser reviews all entries to ensure that they contain the information required for consideration and that the entrant is eligible for the category entered.
The review considers:
- The completed submission form
- The entrant’s professional experience and personal journey
- Submitted work, evidence and supporting information
- Relevant professional achievements
- Relevant advocacy, contribution or community involvement
- The entrant’s experience of, or contribution to, the beauty, hair, chronic illness or disability communities, where relevant to the category
- Relevant social media and online professional work
- The entrant’s suitability for the category entered
- The applicable eligibility requirements and award criteria
The information provided is considered as a whole rather than relying on one individual element of an entry.
Payment of an entry fee does not guarantee eligibility or finalist status.
Entries that do not meet the applicable eligibility requirements, or that are incomplete, will not progress to finalist consideration.
Eligible entries are then considered for finalist selection based on the overall strength, quality, relevance and completeness of the submission alongside the eligibility requirements and award criteria.
2. Finalist Notification
Successful finalists will be contacted following the finalist selection process.
Each successful finalist will receive a finalist certificate in recognition of being selected as a finalist in their category.
Being selected as a finalist does not guarantee that an entrant will place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the final judging.
3. Final Judging
Once entries have closed and finalist selection has been completed, all selected finalists are assessed as part of the final judging process.
The final judging stage is separate from the finalist selection process.
There are 13 award categories in total.
The final judging structure is as follows:
- Five categories will be personally judged by the Founder, with the Founder deciding the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
- Eight categories will be judged by a judging panel, with the judging panel deciding the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
The Founder and judging panel will assess finalists in accordance with the relevant category criteria and the awards’ assessment framework.
